Waiver Policy

Tropical Journal of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences- TJPLS Journal is committed to promoting academic excellence and making high-quality research accessible to a global audience. To support authors from diverse economic backgrounds, we offer a waiver policy for Article Publication Charges (APCs).

Article Publication Charge (APC):

  • The APC for Informative Journals is US$180.
  • This charge applies to all accepted articles that are eligible for publication.

Waiver Policy:

  • Tropical Journal of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences- TJPLS Journal offers waivers to authors from countries classified as Low-Income or Lower Middle-Income economies, according to the World Bank's classification.
  • The waiver policy is designed to support authors who may face financial constraints in publishing their research.

Waiver Categories:

  • Authors from Low-Income Countries: May be granted up to a 80% waiver of the APC.
  • Authors from Lower Middle-Income Countries: May be granted up to a 40% waiver of the APC.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for a waiver, authors must:

  • Be from a country classified as Low-Income or Lower Middle-Income by the World Bank.
  • Provide proof of affiliation with a research institution or university in the eligible country.
  • Submit a formal request for a waiver, including a justification for the request.

Application Process:

Authors who wish to apply for a waiver should:

  • Contact the journal's editorial office or administrative team.
  • Provide the required documentation, including proof of affiliation and country of origin.
  • Submit a formal request for a waiver, including a justification for the request.

Review Process:

  • Waiver requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • The journal's editorial team will evaluate the request and make a decision based on the author's eligibility and justification.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Waivers are granted on a discretionary basis and are subject to the journal's policies and procedures.
  • Authors who are granted a waiver are still required to comply with all other journal policies and procedures.
